Missed Score

Somehow we overlooked the results of the biggest game in Southwest Ohio this past Tuesday.

At any rate, Cincinnati LaSalle triumphed over Cincinnati Winton Woods 56-55 in a D-1 heavyweight showdown.

LaSalle, a team that starts four juniors and a sophomore, was led by junior Brandon 'Flight' Neel who scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Sophomore point guard Josh Lemons added 13 points and two assists and junior Ryan Fleming chipped in with seven points and four assists. Junior Matt Woeste also contributed seven markers.

Louisville football commit Dominique Brown scored 16 points and snared three boards to lead Winton Woods in defeat. Auburn basketball signee Allen Payne was good for 11 points, six rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and three steals.

Junior Semaj Christon netted 10 points, six assists, five rebounds, and four steals. Christon leads the Fort Ancient Valley Conference in assists and steals. Athletic senior Nate Mason was good for eight points and three rebounds.

LaSalle, with the win, moved to (13-2) and has won three-straight since losing to St.Xavier. Winton Woods dropped to (12-2) losing two of its last three contests.
